SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY AND NOT A DESTINATION

If we read about articles on how to be successful all of them will tell that we need to be
a) Disciplined b) Hardworking c) Have Goals in Life d) Do not leave work for tomorrow e) Be Honest f) Prioritize your tasks g) Complete your projects h) Be Optimistic i) Overcome Fear etc. etc.
Recently I came across one article which wrote about 37 secrets only successful people know . I am sure if I interview successful people and ask them about the 37 secrets they themselves would be equally curious to know .

The point is that everyone knows what are the Good things that one needs to do in his or her life but that does not guarantee success as defined or as per their definition.
In fact the definition of success itself is a moving piece which keeps on changing in the life of every person as he grows and the definition keeps on changing . Most of the times he or she only has a very blurred vision of what SUCCESS means and that is how it should be.

When we go for a holiday on a Cruise from one place to another place the whole journey is to be enjoyed and not only when we reach the destination. Similarly when we build our journey to reach a  Destination every small milestone has it's importance and needs to be celebrated and only them we can enjoy the final outcome .

Success is a relative term and  a person measures it on a comparative basis which is one of the biggest challenge with the definition of SUCCESS . When we define or try to estimate if we are successful in life we try to benchmark our earning or salary with others with same qualification and experience . So even if we are earning much more than our expenses and are able to save but if we are not earning as much as one of our friend who is earning double of us but has lot of financial commitments because of which he is unable to have any savings but still we would think he is more successful .

Real success is when a person is happy and satisfied with his own achievement without comparing it with others .

Another problem with Success is that it is only linked with Monetary success with no importance on having a good and happy marriage , have raised well mannered and good nature children and taken care of parents and other family and friends and have a good social standing.

How many sessions have you attended which talks about anything other than professional success tips and be more wealthy as being successful.

Success is achieving what one wants to do in one's chosen vocation and money is something which follows .

Michael Jordan's only dream was to play for NBA and USA and never to have millions in his bank account.

Can the brilliance of Archimedes be any less successful than Newton or Edison or even Einstein .His contributions to geometry revolutionized the subject and his methods influenced every mathematician and inventor who followed including Leonardo da Vinci, Newton, and Leibniz. 

Galileo Galilei was another such success story . the first one who said that the Earth revolves around a relatively stationary sun at the center of the solar system .

Mother Teresa was very successful in her chosen field of serving mankind as would Bill Gates be in being the richest person .

Respect for M.K.Gandhi is much more than any other billionaire industrialist even at a Global level because of his unique style of Fighting for Freedom .

Leonardo Di Vinci's love for painting made him paint the walls of his home and today his paintings are priceless.

SUCCESS IS TO ACHIEVE WHAT IS DESIRED IN CHOSEN FIELD BRINGING IN SATISFACTION WITH OR WITHOUT FINANCIAL GAINS
