MANAGEMENT LESSONS LEARNED FROM GREAT LEADERS

KISS !!!!!.....................

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

This is one Management lesson I got from the father of Retail business in India Mr. Kishore Biyani.
'
He referred about the same when he was invited for a talk in one of our annual conference .

He made a very subtle point in a very simple manner which was very effective and that is the real power of communication.

He told your presentation should be like a KISS , so it immediately draws your attention and then he elaborated the acronym for KISS i.e. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID.

Some of the points we can  keep in mind while making and reviewing a sales presentation are

1. The communication must be as little worded as required but not omitting any important information which might be helpful to the customer in his business about your product or service

2. The presentation is made to only few people and generally it gets passed on the real decision maker over mails who needs to understand by going through the mail about the presentation .

So the presentation must be complete so that even if you are not there in person most of the questions are answered from the presentation.

3. The presentation must include some research and data on how your product is being used and helpful or can be useful for the industry to whom the presentation is made.

4. It must have the details of management staff and customers who are using your products

5. It should not have data about your industry size , competitors , it is not about your industry.

6. No matter how large your company is on Fortune Rankings and your Turnover is how many billions your company makes

7. Mention how your company helped in solving real problems , that is what customer wants to hear

8. Talk about after sales service , service guarantees , any insurance covers that yiu may provide

9. Customized Products that have been offered in past

10. Credit Policy ( Very Important ) and mention about your non compromise on the same as per the Finance Policy

11. Last but not the least thanking for the time given for allowing to present ....
