Commercial Rentals for Start-ups to come down sharply

I do not remember a single time I have visited my bank's branch in the last 4 years . And I am sure that must  be the case with many of us .

And now with bank executives coming to our residence for opening accounts , Cash withdrawals and deposits happening at ATM's demand drafts getting delivered at home , loans getting processed at Central Processing Units with no handling at branches is there really  a need for so many branches that banks have .

I agree that for Corporate Accounts there may be still some requirements but that too can be minimized and they can be serviced through Corporate Branches.

Paperless and Location less banking is becoming the norm these days .

The first mover was Kotak who started their 811 accounts .

DBS Bank from Singapore has brought a brilliant “Digital only Bank” to India- Digi bank-which is the first of its kind. They have some great offerings and features like – No paperwork, no visits to a bank to set up, no OTPs, no cap on deposit amounts, Unlimited ATM withdrawals, 7% interest rate and much more.

One benefit of the same may be the rentals of the commercial properties coming down which can help start-ups. My love for start-ups finds its way every where.
